Australian Visitor Visas allow individuals to visit Australia for tourism, business, or
to see family and friends for a short duration. Key visa subclasses include:
- Visitor Visa (Subclass 600):
◦ For tourism, business activities, or visiting family.
◦ Allows stays of up to 3, 6, or 12 months.
◦ Includes Tourist, Business Visitor, and Sponsored Family streams. - Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) Visa (Subclass 601):
◦ Available to passport holders from eligible countries.
◦ Allows multiple short visits (up to 3 months each) over 12 months. - eVisitor Visa (Subclass 651):
◦ Free visa for citizens of eligible European countries.
◦ Allows multiple short visits (up to 3 months each) over 12 months.
All visitor visas require applicants to meet health, character, and financial
requirements to ensure they can support themselves during their stay. These visas do
not permit work but may allow limited business activities.
